A delegation from the Smart Africa Alliance visits the Electronic Authentication Authority.
The National Electronic Authentication Authority received a delegation from the Smart Africa Alliance at its headquarters in the Telecommunications Tower, headed by Mr.
Lacina Koné, the Director General of the Alliance. Eng.
Hamid Youssef Abdelrahman, Acting Director of the National Electronic Authentication Authority, briefed the delegation on the Authority’s roles and responsibilities.
He provided a comprehensive explanation of the key services offered, including electronic certification and e-signature services, as well as securing websites, particularly following the lifting of the ban on Sudanese website security certificates. Mr.
Koné expressed his delight at Sudan joining the Alliance and praised its strategic position among landlocked countries.
He also commended Sudan's robust telecommunications infrastructure. It is worth noting that Sudan recently joined this major alliance, which includes 32 African countries, along with dozens of international organizations and companies interested in ICT and digital transformation.
