- The National Authority for Electronic Authentication was established under the Electronic Transactions Law of 2007, amended in 2015, to be the highest authority in the state concerned with establishing the foundations for certifying electronic certificates and digital signatures.
- Among the Authority's competencies is electronic authentication for any entity it deems qualified to practice the work of issuing digital certificates and certification and digital signature services.
